Trinidad Mac-Auliffe

In 2020, I embarked on a painting journey that aimed to visually translate a process of personal growth.

The paintings and drawings in this body of work are not by design or pre-meditated - what sustains the visuals is a symbolic vocabulary that comes from the realm of my physique and the ability to stay present in the midst of change to witness the rebirth.

What was premeditated was the purpose of the journey and my wish to begin and close a cycle. 

 
In essence, this work “ Know the Self” is a journey into my humanity - a journey of self-expression that digs deep into the understanding of my archetypes and my beliefs and ultimately finding myself embracing the abstract nature of becoming open-minded and more fluid with life.
