My piece tries to mirror our culture with that of Roman times. Like Roman warriors, our young soldiers are sent to foreign lands to “force/police” our beliefs, decadence, and oppression on others. In the painting, abstract areas of India ink are meant to illustrate the disintegration of self and culture that may likely result.
