Nathaniel Woods’ (upper right) young life was ended on March 5, 2020. He was not given a proper trial. He had only witnessed the crime. He killed no one. Many, guided by the Innocence Project, were fighting for him to have a retrial. Even the Supreme Court asked for his case to be carefully re-examined. But Governor Ivey of Alabama chose to ignore these pleas and put him to death.

George Julius Stinney, Jr. (upper left) was executed at the age of 14 on June 16, 1944 in South Carolina. He was questioned alone, without his parents or an attorney. Some reported that a Bible was placed under him on the electric chair seat because he was so small. His case has been re-examined in recent years and Stinney was exonerated in 2014.
