Karen and Kevin Houtchens

Our goal is to take discarded and unwanted metal items and make visually appealing works of art that are entirely or partially made from these metal items.  By doing this we give these finds a new purpose from their original intended uses.  We create one-of-a-kind works for your home, office, or landscape. Karen is the artistic side of the team and not only designs our pieces but works along side Kevin in the assembly and finishing process.  Kevin handles the fabrication process and has the task of devising ways and methods to make her ideas come to life. We work as a team to make our art. If requested, we can create a similar piece or take on a commissioned work for you.

 

Karen is also a fiber artist/quilter who uses both modern and traditional quilting techniques to create works of art.  She also creates fabric portraits as well.
