Jim Conroy

Jim Conroy is a self taught artist, a Cincinnati Native and a retired firefighter/paramedic. He is former board member of the Cincinnati Art Club.

Through his art, Jim works to create a language of shared experience and understanding. He works the majority of the time in oil paints and uses a realistic style mixed with impressionist abstraction. This style allows the viewer to transmit their own emotions and experiences into the work. Painting allows Jim to process and express his thoughts and feelings at any given moment through what he creates. When creating, he trusts his instincts along with the love of his favorite art works to inspire and guide him. Museums are his church - artists, his spiritual leaders.
